Join us for Worship
Lutherans are people of Word and Sacrament. When we gather on Sundays, we take time to read the Scripture, preach the Word, baptize those entering the Christian community for the first time and gather around the table where we receive Holy Communion. Gathered together, we sing, pray, and enjoy fellowship. You are always invited to join us for worship.

Worship Sundays: 9:00 a.m.

Sunday morning worship is "classic" in style, based on liturgies and hymns from our hymnal.

A loving nursery is available during worship.

Holy Week & Easter
We are Christians because of the events of what we now call Holy Week. Jesus experienced highs and lows, the betrayal and judgment, death, and the power of God to resurrect him to new life. There is power for us is in realizing our lives mirror those realities. The more we engage in the services of Holy Week the more Easter will become a celebration of New Life.

Maundy Thursday, April 2 at 6:00 p.m.
Pastor’s Message: "What is the new commandment delivered by Jesus to those who would follow him?"

Maundy Thursday commemorates the evening just before the crucifixion when Jesus and his friends broke bread together for the Last Supper. It was at this Last Supper that Jesus instituted the Eucharist or what we call communion. We welcome all, in remembrance of Him, to share this Holy Thursday.

Good Friday April 3 at 12:00 p.m.
Ecumenical Cross Walk

Beginning in Memorial Park in the center of Cambridge the cross of Christ will be carried to five stations each appointed with scripture, meditation and hymn.

Good Friday worship elicits an honest reflection about the brokenness of our lives and invites us to leave that brokenness with Jesus on the Cross, opening us to God’s healing power of resurrection to New Life.

Easter - Alleluia! April 5 at 6:30 and 9:00 a.m.
Pastor’s Message 6:30 am Sunrise at Upper Historic Church: "Foot race to the tomb!  Who ran?  Who won?"

Pastor’s Message 9:00am at EKLC: "'MARY!' Have YOU heard Jesus call you by name?  What was YOUR response?"

The tomb is empty; death has lost its sting. Christ is risen indeed! We more fully realize that our eternal life begins today. The Sunrise Service, will be a spoken litany and song, proclamation of resurrection, and eucharist. Our festival worship will feature traditional sung liturgy, special music, proclamation of resurrection, and eucharist.

Baptism & Communion Questions
We believe that the host of the meal provided during worship today is Christ. Christ invites everyone to this meal, saying, “This is for you for the forgiveness of sin.” Echoing Christ, we invite everyone to this banquet. If you would like to receive deeper instruction in the Christian faith; if you desire to be baptized; or if you simply seek someone to pray with or for you, inquire of the pastor or indicate the need on the communion card. Contact the pastor at 608-423-3017.
