Southlake Conference for Women of the ELCA Spring GatheringSouthlake Conference for Women of the ELCA Spring Gathering will be held on Saturday, April 26 at Christ Lutheran Church in Stoughton, WI . Registration will begin at 8:30 A.M. with coffee time. There is a $3.00 registration fee. The speaker will be Mike Hoffman. He will be speaking on Ghana. He has started a school there and will have slides to show also. The offering will go toward the school. There will be a luncheon at 11:30 a.m.. A short business meeting will follow. We hope to see a lot of you ladies there!

East Koshkonong Vacation Bible School June 16-20 12:00 – 4:30p.m. <<more>>

Mark your calendars, Sunday June 8th, for an incredible journey visiting historic sites in American Norwegian Lutheran Church history. We've secured a Badger bus for the day. The tour will include stops at the historic West and East Koshkonong churches, area farms and the historical markers where the first worship services were conducted, as well as a drive down to Luther Valley Lutheran Church to hear about the formation of the Norwegian Lutheran Synod in the 1850s. We will hear presentations from historians and local clergy, tour each church and hold brief hymn sings, and conclude with a meal at a restaurant near Luther Valley. Cost for the day: $10. Call the church office to reserve your spot.

What?: Congregational Retreat: Dialogue about God's mission for us

When: April 27th, 10:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.: 10:30-11:30 brunch and fellowship, 11:30-12, bible study of Luke 10:1-12; 12-3 p.m. conversation around our strengths and weaknesses, and opportunities and barriers in our community, to being in mission together as a congregation; 3-3:30 mid-day prayer and sending

Where: Friendship Hall, East Koshkonong Lutheran Church

Why: Listening to each other as we talk about our strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and barriers to growth and ministry as a congregation; each person attends and contributes insights from their own life and the communities in which they work, serve, or live; our goal is to understand ourselves, Scripture, and our community better, and practice open dialogue and listening.

Acclaimed Liturgical Musician, Marty Haugen, will be performing an evening concert on 4/25/08 at St. William Church in Janesville, WI. Marty Haugen is the musician who wrote “The Holden Evening Prayer” that we are currently using during our Lenten Services. Tickets will be available 4/1/08 at St. William Parish Office, by mail, or in person. The office phone # is 608-755-5180.

Wednesday Worship
We will be starting Wednesday service the first Wednesday in June. Hope to see you there.

The church playground is coming about. We have a few good donations. The committee will be getting together soon to decide on the exact model we would like to buy. Anybody that would like to donate time or money call the church office.

Join an adult small group Bible study. During worship today, we'll review a resource for reading the bible in one year, and learning how to pray it. If you'd like companions on the journey for studying the bible, here are some small groups you can join.
