This
year our congregation will be participating in a
generosity and simplicity program entitled “MAKE IT
SIMPLE.”
The MAKE IT SIMPLE theme will be the focus for our
worship services Sunday, September 20th,
through Sunday, October 11th.
The concluding worship will include an
opportunity for each household to bring forward to the
altar their Commitment Card indicating their financial
support intent to the ministry of our congregation for
the coming year.
The theme for MAKE IT SIMPLE provides important
opportunities for study, reflection, and discussion
about the choices we make in our daily lives in these
times. During these four weeks, in addition to our
worship activities, we will have an opportunity to hear
from fellow congregation members.
We will hear what it was like living during the
depression era, how giving has made a difference in
someone’s life and have an opportunity to cook together.
We will also be having our traditional pie
auction.
Our congregation is celebrating our 165th
anniversary this year.
Our founding, and past members, made personal
commitments to build our church, and our ministries.
It is now our responsibility to maintain the
church property, and to continue our ministries within
our vision of, “Gods work.
Our hands.”
Please consider including an additional pledge to
our building fund when completing your Commitment Card.
We invite and encourage you and your family to
participate in the MAKE IT SIMPLE activities.
Sincerely,

Brenda L. Schroeder
